Biography

Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun Khan was born and raised in Khulna, Bangladesh. Studied in Saint Joseph’s School and Govt. B.L College, Khulna. Did BDS from University of Dhaka.

After successfully completed BDS he has got an invitation from the UK for hands-on course for oral implantology in 2002. That was the beginning of his international career. Later he enrolled himself as a student in the UK at the Royal Institute of Public Health.

During his long stay in the UK, he did Diploma in Occupational Medicine from Royal Institute of Public Health, Masters program in Health Care Management.

He worked with NHS (Dental), worked with several British doctors (dental) also worked as a lecturer in College of Health, London, UK.

He attended several hands-on and clinical workshops in every branch of clinical Dentistry in several western countries.

He did clinical Oral Implantology certificate course from India and clinical Oral Surgery course from Medical University of Vienna, Austria.

In 2012, he got admitted world famous Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany for clinical Masters in Oral Implantology and in 2016 successfully completed.

He successfully passed ICOI (USA) Fellowship exam.

Also successfully passed ICOI (USA) Diplomate exam (highest credentials) and become ICOI-USA board certified implantologist and achieved gold medal.

He is also Ambassador of ICOI (USA) for Bangladesh.

For the first time in Bangladesh, BMDC approved Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun khan’s clinical oral implantology masters degree. Till now (2024) he is the only qualified Oral Implantologist in Bangladesh.

He has several national and international publications.

He is the writer of “Clinical Implant Dentistry in Everyday Practice” which is one of the main book or guideline for several Dentists in the world.

Currently he is working as:

Chief mentor and President of Bangladesh Academy of Oral Implantology (ICOI center),

Associate Professor (Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) CDC, DU.

Secretary General (German Alumni Association Bangladesh)
